You're a few messages into a chat about a recipe you saved as a note card, and you ask a quick follow-up. There's nothing new to look up, the recipe is already there. Still, your AI assistant Edicek sometimes went back to search your cards anyway, and you waited for it.
It now tells more accurately whether you're still on the same topic or have moved on to a new one. It searches your cards less often, so follow-up messages come back faster. And if the cards it found aren't the ones you meant, tell it and it widens the search.
The answers themselves are faster, too: on average, a whole answer is written out in about 50% less time. That comes from a new model: Edicek now runs on Claude Haiku 5.5 from Anthropic. We ran it through our internal benchmarks before switching, and it did better than the old one.
We also changed the formatting a little and the way Edicek AI structures its answers, so they're easier to read. And grammar correction got a few fixes along the way.
